Mari Sandoz High Plains Heritage Center

The Mari Sandoz High Plains Heritage Center opened in the fall of 2002 at Chadron state College following decades of planning. The Center houses and interprets not only the life and literature of Mari Sandoz, but also the High Plains Ranching Industry.

The museum has temporary exhibits, archival collections open by appointment, a public meeting space, tours available by appointment, and the Heritage Gardens.
