Story Seeking in Western Nebraska

The Western Nebraska Tourism Coalition, together with award-winning bi-monthly magazine Nebraska Life, is beginning work on the 2014 edition of Journey to Western Nebraska, the region’s official tourism magazine.
Tourism is up out west thanks, in part, to the continued efforts of the Western Nebraska Tourism Coalition and the newly minted Featuring stories and photography from across Western Nebraska, we're offering site visitors an interactive online experience, including an iTunes application, travel tips from regional bloggers (right here, on West Blog!) and a full events calendar of area attractions.
Coalition president Orla Kitt said, “The Journey to Western Nebraska magazine has established itself as the best of the west when it comes to regional travel and tourism magazines. Tourism is on the rise in West Nebraska, and to have a publication such as Journey is of great benefit to both public and private businesses looking to attract travelers.”
Journey 2014 will be the ninth-annual collaboration between Nebraska Life and the coalition, a non-profit organization of chambers of commerce, convention and visitor bureaus, private businesses and government organizations. Fifty thousand copies of the full-size, full-color magazine will be distributed to tourists visiting Western Nebraska. The magazine also is available for free digital download here
In preparation for Journey 2014, staff from Nebraska Life, based in Norfolk, will be traveling throughout the communities of Western Nebraska this summer. Staff will include writers, photographers and advertising sales staff.
